Just a minute to……….your royal journey
We all like to live our life at our own terms and conditions. We should. After all, its ‘our’ life. But, are we fearless and confident, emotionally and psychologically happy and healthy in the mundane routine year after year that we are living through? This is perhaps one question that our conscious asks each one of us, quite frequently. Many a times we feel lonely or lost amidst the varied liabilities and responsibilities of life. We love to recall and return to our childhood days, when play, eat and make merry was all that was our concern. We had no worries, anxieties or tensions. We recall all this because there’s a child within each one of us who misses the parents/guardians. At times, we all want to put our responsibilities on someone reliable and get freedom from the daily course of life. We are just like a small child who hands over his school bag to his father after the last paper of his final examinations are over and rushes to the park in full excitement to laugh run and play as he confidently knows his father shall be coming behind him and shall not leave him or his school bag (a child's most precious possession) anywhere!
But how many of us today can get freedom from stress, strain and anxiety? Perhaps, not many. As many of us are visiting doctors for heart diseases, peptic-ulcers, migraines, smoking-related diseases, alcoholism, anxiety-attacks, mood swings, chronic- fatigue, diabetes, compromised immune system, psychological distress, high blood pressure, depression, sleeping disorders and many other ailments. We are attending de-stress clinics. We undergo treatments. We visit fitness centers. Still, do we get permanent relief? Do not worry it happens. All of us have some ailment or the other. After all, we are made of flesh and to dust we shall return!
Now lets look at the brighter side of life. Amazingly, we have tremendous strength. It is this quality that makes us human beings above every other living creature on earth. We are all solid inside. So get up ,dust off the muck and get on with life. What we lack in today’s life is a close reliable companion to walk beside us, to motivate us while we work hard to enhance the quality of our efforts in the small and big deals of life. And, on whom we can put all our worries and play, eat, run and sleep like a child does. It is this Omnipotent Father who is reliable and who is ready to take all our fatigue and relief us of all our ailments. The Omnipotent Father lovingly offers his companionship and offers to walk with us. But, our hectic life schedules compels us to ignore the loving invitation and we finally fall victim to the pains of life and our despair increases as days pass by. Well our teacher in the junior school taught us that every stumbling block is a lesson in disguise.
Lets say ‘NO’ to the ailments and start making a move towards happiness! Our Omnipotent Father loves us and waits for us. We need to observe His commandments. If we want to walk with God, we should make efforts to go where He goes. We should be one with God especially in three important walks of life : our purpose - goal, our will- desire-wish, our ideals should be the same as is the purpose, ideals and will of GOD.
When we want to walk with GOD we definitely make ourselves worthy of His companionship, so that our walk becomes interesting with ever increasing excitements as we tread the path of life ahead.
